Mezmurlar 109
1Davut'a ait mezmur. Rab benim Rabbime dedi: "Ben senin düşmanlarını ayaklarının altına basamak yapana dek sağımda otur."
2Rab sana gücün asasını Siyon'dan gönderecek; düşmanlarının ortasında egemenlik sür!
3Gücünün gününde, kutsallarının ihtişamları içinde başlangıç ve egemenlik seninledir; rahimden, sabah yıldızından önce doğurdum seni.
4Rab yemin etti ve kararından dönmeyecek: "Sen Melkisedek'in düzenine göre sonsuza dek kâhinsin."
5Rab senin sağındadır; gazabının gününde kralları ezip parçaladı.
6Uluslar arasında yargılama yapacak, her yeri cesetlerle dolduracak, yeryüzündeki birçoklarının başlarını ezecek.
7Yol üzerindeki sel deresinden içecek; bu yüzden başını yukarı kaldıracak.
1Ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυΐδ. - ΕΙΠΕΝ ὁ Κύριος τῷ Κυρίῳ μου· κάθου ἐκ δεξιῶν μου, ἕως ἂν θῶ τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου ὑποπόδιον τῶν ποδῶν σου.
2ῥάβδον δυνάμεως ἐξαποστελεῖ σοι Κύριος ἐκ Σιών, καὶ κατακυρίευε ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἐχθρῶν σου.
3μετὰ σοῦ ἡ ἀρχὴ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ τῆς δυνάμεώς σου ἐν ταῖς λαμπρότησι τῶν ἁγίων σου· ἐκ γαστρὸς πρὸ ἑωσφόρου ἐγέννησά σε.
4ὤμοσε Κύριος καὶ οὐ μεταμεληθήσεται· σὺ ἱερεὺς εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα κατὰ τὴν τάξιν Μελχισεδέκ.
5Κύριος ἐκ δεξιῶν σου συνέθλασεν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ὀργῆς αὐτοῦ βασιλεῖς·
6κρινεῖ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσι, πληρώσει πτώματα, συνθλάσει κεφαλὰς ἐπὶ γῆς πολλῶν.
1[A Psalm of David.] The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
2The Lord shall send out a rod of power for thee out of Sion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
3With thee is dominion in the day of thy power, in the splendours of thy saints: I have begotten thee from the womb before the morning.
4The Lord sware, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever, after the order of Melchisedec.
5The Lord at thy right hand has dashed in pieces kings in the day of his wrath.
6He shall judge among the nations, he shall fill up [the number of] corpses, he shall crush the heads of many on the earth.
7He shall drink of the brook in the way; therefore shall he lift up the head.

Grekçe Septuaginta metnindeki "sabah yıldızından önce doğurdum seni" ifadesi, İbranice Masoretik metindeki "gençliğinin çiyi seher vaktinin rahminden sana gelecektir" ifadesinden tamamen farklıdır ve Helenistik Yahudilik ile erken Hristiyanlıkta Mesih'in zamandan önceki pre-eksistansiyel (yaratılış öncesi) varoluşuna ve tanrısal kökenine işaret eden kozmolojik bir göndermedir.
