Yeremya 35

¹Yahuda Kralı Sedekias’ın krallığının dördüncü yılında, beşinci ayda şöyle oldu: Gabaonlu Azor oğlu yalancı peygamber Ananias, Rab’bin evinde, kâhinlerin ve bütün halkın gözü önünde bana hitap ederek şöyle dedi:

²"Rab böyle diyor: Babil kralının boyunduruğunu kırdım.

³İki tam yıl dolmadan, Rab’bin evinin bütün kaplarını bu yere geri getireceğim.

⁴Yehonias’ı ve Yahuda’nın bütün sürgün topluluğunu da geri getireceğim; çünkü Babil kralının boyunduruğunu kesinlikle kıracağım."

⁵Bunun üzerine Yeremyas peygamber, Rab’bin evinde durmakta olan kâhinlerin ve bütün halkın gözü önünde Ananias’a yanıt verdi.

⁶Yeremyas şöyle dedi: "Amin! Rab bunu gerçekten yapsın; Rab senin peygamberlik ettiğin bu sözü gerçekleştirsin, tapınağın kaplarını ve bütün sürgünleri Babil’den bu yere geri getirsin.

⁷Ancak benim sizin kulaklarınıza ve bütün halkın kulaklarına söyleyeceğim Rab'bin şu sözünü dinleyin:

⁸Benden ve sizden çok önce, ta başlangıçtan beri yaşamış olan eski peygamberler, birçok ülkeye ve büyük krallıklara karşı savaşa dair peygamberlik ettiler.

⁹Barışa dair peygamberlik eden peygambere gelince; onun sözü gerçekleştiğinde, o peygamberin gerçekten Rab tarafından sadakatle gönderildiği herkesçe anlaşılacaktır."

¹⁰Bunun üzerine Ananias, bütün halkın gözü önünde boyundurukları Yeremyas’ın boynundan alıp kırdı.

¹¹Ananias bütün halkın gözü önünde şöyle dedi: "Rab böyle diyor: Babil kralının boyunduruğunu bütün ulusların boynundan işte böyle kıracağım." Ve Yeremyas kendi yoluna gitti.

¹²Ananias boyundurukları Yeremyas’ın boynundan kırdıktan sonra, Rab’bin sözü Yeremyas’a şöyle vuku buldu:

¹³"Git ve Ananias’a şöyle de: Rab böyle diyor: Sen ahşap boyundurukları kırdın, ama onların yerine demir boyunduruklar yapacağım.

¹⁴Çünkü Rab böyle diyor: Babil kralına kulluk etsinler diye bütün ulusların boynuna demir bir boyunduruk koydum.

¹⁵Yeremyas peygamber Ananias’a, "Dinle, Ananias!" dedi, "Rab seni göndermedi, ama sen bu halkı asılsız bir yalana güvendirdin.

¹⁶Bu yüzden Rab böyle diyor: İşte, seni yeryüzünden söküp atıyorum; bu yıl içinde öleceksin."

¹⁷Ve o, yedinci ayda öldü.

¹(Μασ. ΚΗ´) ΚΑΙ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ τετάρτῳ ἔτει Σεδεκία βασιλέως ᾿Ιούδα ἐν μηνὶ τῷ πέμπτῳ εἶπέ μοι ᾿Ανανίας υἱὸς ᾿Αζὼρ ὁ ψευδοπροφήτης ἀπὸ Γαβαὼν ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς τῶν ἱερέων καὶ παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ λέγων·

²οὕτως εἶπε Κύριος· συνέτριψα τὸν ζυγὸν τοῦ βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος·

³ἔτι δύο ἔτη ἡμερῶν καὶ ἐγὼ ἀποστρέψω εἰς τὸν τόπον τοῦτον τὰ σκεύη οἴκου Κυρίου

⁴καὶ ᾿Ιεχονίαν καὶ τὴν ἀποικίαν ᾿Ιούδα, ὅτι συντρίψω τὸν ζυγὸν βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος.

⁵καὶ εἶπεν ῾Ιερεμίας πρὸς ᾿Ανανίαν κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς τῶν ἱερέων τῶν ἑστηκότων ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου.

⁶καὶ εἶπεν ῾Ιερεμίας· ἀληθῶς, οὕτως ποιήσαι Κύριος, στήσαι τὸν λόγον σου, ὃν σὺ προφητεύεις, τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι τὰ σκεύη οἴκου Κυρίου καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν ἀποικίαν ἐκ Βαβυλῶνος εἰς τὸν τόπον τοῦτον.

⁷πλὴν ἀκούσατε τὸν λόγον Κυρίου, ὃν ἐγὼ λέγω εἰς τὰ ὦτα ὑμῶν καὶ εἰς τὰ ὦτα παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ·

⁸οἱ προφῆται οἱ γεγονότες πρότεροί μου καὶ πρότεροι ὑμῶν ἀπὸ τοῦ αἰῶνος καὶ ἐπροφήτευσαν ἐπὶ γῆς πολλῆς καὶ ἐπὶ βασιλείας μεγάλας εἰς πόλεμον·

⁹ὁ προφήτης ὁ προφητεύσας εἰς εἰρήνην, ἐλθόντος τοῦ λόγου γνώσονται τὸν προφήτην, ὃν ἀπέστειλεν αὐτοῖς Κύριος ἐν πίστει.

¹⁰καὶ ἔλαβεν ᾿Ανανίας ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ τοὺς κλοιοὺς ἀπὸ τοῦ τραχήλου ῾Ιερεμίου καὶ συνέτριψεν αὐτούς·

¹¹καὶ εἶπεν ᾿Ανανίας κατ’ ὀφθαλμοὺς παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ λέγων· οὕτως εἶπε Κύριος· οὕτως συντρίψω τὸν ζυγὸν βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος ἀπὸ τραχήλων πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν. καὶ ᾤχετο ῾Ιερεμίας εἰς τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτοῦ. -

¹²Καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος Κυρίου πρὸς ῾Ιερεμίαν μετὰ τὸ συντρίψαι ᾿Ανανίαν τοὺς κλοιοὺς ἀπὸ τοῦ τραχήλου αὐτοῦ λέγων·

¹³βάδιζε καὶ εἶπον πρὸς ᾿Ανανίαν λέγων· οὕτως εἶπε Κύριος· κλοιοὺς ξυλίνους συνέτριψας, καὶ ποιήσω ἀντ’ αὐτῶν κλοιοὺς σιδηροῦς,

¹⁴ὅτι οὕτως εἶπε Κύριος· ζυγὸν σιδηροῦν ἔθηκα ἐπὶ τὸν τράχηλον πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν ἐργάζεσθαι τῷ βασιλεῖ Βαβυλῶνος.

¹⁵καὶ εἶπεν ῾Ιερεμίας τῷ ᾿Ανανίᾳ· οὐκ ἀπέσταλκέ σε Κύριος, καὶ πεποιθέναι ἐποίησας τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον ἐπ’ ἀδίκῳ.

¹⁶διὰ τοῦτο οὕτως εἶπε Κύριος· ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐξαποστέλλω σε ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς, τούτῳ τῷ ἐνιαυτῷ ἀποθανῇ.

¹⁷καὶ ἀπέθανεν ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἑβδόμῳ.

¹And it came to pass in the fourth year of Sedekias king of Juda, in the fifth month, [that] Ananias the false prophet, the son of Azor, from Gabaon, spoke to me in the house of the Lord, in the sight of the priests and all the people, saying,

²Thus saith the Lord; I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

³Yet two full years, and I will return into this place the vessels of the house of the Lord,

⁴and Jechonias, and the captivity of Juda: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

⁵Then Jeremias spoke to Ananias in the sight of all the people, and in the sight of the priests that stood in the house of the Lord,

⁶and Jeremias said, May the Lord indeed do thus; may he confirm thy word which thou dost prophesy, to return the vessels of the house of the Lord, and all the captivity, out of Babylon to this place.

⁷Nevertheless hear ye the word of the Lord which I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people.

⁸The prophets that were before me and before you of old, also prophesied over much country, and against great kingdoms, concerning war.

⁹[As for] the prophet that has prophesied for peace, when the word has come [to pass], they shall know the prophet whom the Lord has sent them in truth.

¹⁰Then Ananias took the yokes from the neck of Jeremias in the sight of all the people, and broke them to pieces.

¹¹And Ananias spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus said the Lord; Thus will I break the yoke of the king of Babylon from the necks of all the nations. And Jeremias went his way.

¹²And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias, after that Ananias had broken the yokes off his neck, saying,

¹³Go and speak to Ananias, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but I will make instead of them yokes of iron.

¹⁴For thus said the Lord, I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all the nations, that they may serve the king of Babylon.

¹⁵And Jeremias said to Ananias, The Lord has not sent thee; and thou hast caused this people to trust in unrighteousness.

¹⁶Therefore thus said the Lord: Behold, I [will] cast thee off from the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die.

¹⁷So he died in the seventh month.
