Yasa’nın Tekrarı 10

¹O zamanda Rab bana şöyle dedi: «Kendin için ilkleri gibi taştan iki levha yont ve dağa, yanıma çık; kendin için de ahşap bir sandık yapacaksın.

²Ve kırdığın o ilk levhalarda bulunan sözleri bu levhaların üzerine yazacaksın; sonra onları sandığın içine koyacaksın.»

³Böylece çürümeyen ağaçtan bir sandık yaptım ve ilkleri gibi taştan iki levha yonttum; iki levha ellerimde olarak dağa çıktım.

⁴Ve Rab, dağda ateşin ortasından size bildirdiği on sözü, ilk yazıya göre levhaların üzerine yazdı ve Rab onları bana verdi.

⁵Sonra dönüp dağdan indim ve levhaları yapmış olduğum sandığın içine koydum; Rab'bin bana buyurduğu gibi orada kaldılar.

⁶İsrailoğulları Yakimoğulları'nın Beerot'undan Misaday'a doğru göç ettiler. Harun orada öldü ve orada gömüldü; oğlu Eleazar onun yerine kâhinlik hizmetini üstlendi.

⁷Oradan Gadgad'a, Gadgad'dan da suların akarsularıyla bol olan bir ülke olan Etebata'ya göç ettiler.

⁸O zamanda Rab, bugüne dek Rab'bin antlaşma sandığını taşımak, Rab'bin huzurunda durup O'na dinsel hizmet sunmak ve O'nun ismi üzerine kutsama dilemek üzere Levi oymağını ayırdı.

⁹Bu yüzden Levililerin kardeşleri arasında bir payı ve mirası yoktur; Tanrın Rab'bin ona söylediği gibi, onun mirası bizzat Rab'bin Kendisidir.

¹⁰Ben ise dağda kırk gün ve kırk gece ayakta durup bekledim; Rab o sefer de beni dinledi ve Rab sizi yok etmek istemedi.

¹¹Ve Rab bana şöyle dedi: «Kalk, bu halkın önünde yola çık; gitsinler ve atalarına kendilerine vereceğime ant içtiğim ülkeyi mülk edinsinler.»

¹²Ve şimdi, ey İsrail, Tanrın Rab'den korkmaktan, O'nun bütün yollarında yürümekten, O'nu sevmekten, bütün yüreğinle ve bütün canınla Tanrın Rab'be tapınmaktan başka, Tanrın Rab senden ne istiyor?

¹³Senin için iyi olsun diye bugün sana buyurduğum Rab'bin buyruklarını ve adil yasalarını tutmandan başka ne istiyor?

¹⁴İşte, gökler ve göklerin göğü, yeryüzü ve üzerinde olan her şey Tanrın Rab'be aittir.

¹⁵Ancak Rab atalarını sevmeyi önceden seçti ve onlardan sonra onların soyu olan sizleri, bugün olduğu gibi bütün ulusların arasından seçip ayırdı.

¹⁶Öyleyse yüreğinizin katılığını sünnet edin ve artık boynunuzu sertleştirmeyin.

¹⁷Çünkü Tanrınız Rab, tanrıların Tanrısı ve rablerin Rabbidir; ulu, güçlü ve heybetli Tanrı'dır; O dış görünüşe bakıp kayırma yapmaz ve asla rüşvet kabul etmez.

¹⁸Yerleşik yabancının, öksüzün ve dulun hakkını gözetir; yerleşik yabancıyı sever, ona yiyecek ve giyecek sağlar.

¹⁹Siz de yerleşik yabancıyı sevin; çünkü Mısır toprağında yerleşik yabancılardınız.

²⁰Tanrın Rab'den korkacak, O'na tapınacak, O'na sımsıkı bağlanacak ve O'nun adıyla ant içeceksin.

²¹Övünç kaynağın O'dur ve Tanrın O'dur; gözlerinin gördüğü bu büyük ve görkemli işleri senin aranda gerçekleştiren O'dur.

²²Ataların Mısır'a yetmiş kişi olarak inmişlerdi; şimdiyse Tanrın Rab seni sayıca gökteki yıldızlar kadar çoğalttı.

¹ΕΝ ἐκείνῳ τῷ καιρῷ εἶπε Κύριος πρός με· λάξευσον σεαυτῷ δύο πλάκας λιθίνας, ὥσπερ τὰς πρώτας, καὶ ἀνάβηθι πρός με εἰς τὸ ὄρος· καὶ ποιήσεις σεαυτῷ κιβωτὸν ξυλίνην·

²καὶ γράψεις ἐπὶ τὰς πλάκας τὰ ῥήματα, ἃ ἦν ἐν ταῖς πλαξὶ ταῖς πρώταις, ἃς συνέτριψας, καὶ ἐμβαλεῖς αὐτὰς εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν.

³καὶ ἐποίησα κιβωτὸν ἐκ ξύλων ἀσήπτων καί ἐλάξευσα τὰς πλάκας λιθίνας, ὡς αἱ πρῶται· καὶ ἀνέβην εἰς τὸ ὄρος καὶ αἱ δύο πλάκες ἐπὶ ταῖς χερσί μου.

⁴καὶ ἔγραψεν ἐπὶ τὰς πλάκας κατὰ τὴν γραφὴν τὴν πρώτην τοὺς δέκα λόγους, οὓς ἐλάλησε Κύριος πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐν τῷ ὄρει ἐκ μέσου τοῦ πυρός, καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὰς Κύριος ἐμοί.

⁵καὶ ἐπιστρέψας κατέβην ἐκ τοῦ ὄρους καὶ ἐνέβαλον τὰς πλάκας εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν, ἣν ἐποίησα, καὶ ἦσαν ἐκεῖ, καθὰ ἐνετείλατό μοι Κύριος.

⁶καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ ᾿Ισραὴλ ἀπῇραν ἐκ Βηρὼθ υἱῶν ᾿Ιακὶμ Μισαδαΐ· ἐκεῖ ἀπέθανεν ᾿Ααρὼν καὶ ἐτάφη ἐκεῖ, καὶ ἱεράτευσεν ᾿Ελεάζαρ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἀντ᾿ αὐτοῦ.

⁷ἐκεῖθεν ἀπῇραν εἰς Γαδγὰδ καὶ ἀπὸ Γαδγὰδ εἰς ᾿Ετεβαθᾶ, γῆ χείμαρροι ὑδάτων.

⁸ἐν ἐκείνῳ τῷ καιρῷ διέστειλε Κύριος τὴν φυλὴν τὴν Λευὶ αἴρειν τὴν κιβωτὸν τῆς διαθήκης Κυρίου, παρεστάναι ἔναντι Κυρίου, λειτουργεῖν καὶ ἐπεύχεσθαι ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης.

⁹διὰ τοῦτο οὐκ ἔστι τοῖς Λευίταις μερὶς καὶ κλῆρος ἐν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτῶν· Κύριος αὐτὸς κλῆρος αὐτοῦ, καθότι εἶπεν αὐτῷ.

¹⁰κἀγὼ εἱστήκειν ἐν τῷ ὄρει τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας, καὶ εἰσήκουσε Κύριος ἐμοῦ καὶ ἐν τῷ καιρῷ τούτῳ, καὶ οὐκ ἠθέλησε Κύριος ἐξολοθρεῦσαι ὑμᾶς.

¹¹καὶ εἶπε Κύριος πρός με· βάδιζε, ἄπαρον ἐναντίον τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου, καὶ εἰσπορευέσθωσαν καὶ κληρονομήτωσαν τὴν γῆν, ἣν ὤμοσα τοῖς πατράσιν αὐτῶν δοῦναι αὐτοῖς.

¹²Καὶ νῦν, ᾿Ισραήλ, τί Κύριος ὁ Θεός σου αἰτεῖται παρὰ σοῦ, ἀλλ᾿ ἢ φοβεῖσθαι Κύριον τὸν Θεόν σου καὶ πορεύεσθαι ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀγαπᾶν αὐτὸν καὶ λατρεύειν Κυρίῳ τῷ Θεῷ σου ἐξ ὅλης τῆς καρδίας σου καὶ ἐξ ὅλης τῆς ψυχῆς σου,

¹³φυλάσσεσθαι τάς ἐντολὰς Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ σου καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα αὐτοῦ, ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον, ἵνα εὖ σοι ᾖ;

¹⁴ἰδοὺ Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ σου ὁ οὐρανὸς καὶ ὁ οὐρανὸς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, ἡ γῆ καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ·

¹⁵πλὴν τοὺς πατέρας ὑμῶν προείλετο Κύριος ἀγαπᾶν αὐτούς, καὶ ἐξελέξατο τὸ σπέρμα αὐτῶν μετ᾿ αὐτοὺς ὑμᾶς παρὰ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη κατὰ τὴν ἡμέραν ταύτην.

¹⁶καὶ περιτεμεῖσθε τὴν σκληροκαρδίαν ὑμῶν καὶ τὸν τράχηλον ὑμῶν οὐ σκληρυνεῖτε ἔτι·

¹⁷ὁ γὰρ Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς ὑμῶν οὗτος Θεὸς τῶν θεῶν καὶ Κύριος τῶν κυρίων, ὁ Θεὸς ὁ μέγας· καὶ ἰσχυρὸς καὶ φοβερός, ὅστις οὐ θαυμάζει πρόσωπον, οὐδ᾿ οὐ μὴ λάβῃ δῶρον,

¹⁸ποιῶν κρίσιν προσηλύτῳ καὶ ὀρφανῷ καὶ χήρᾳ, καὶ ἀγαπᾷ τὸν προσήλυτον δοῦναι αὐτῷ ἄρτον καὶ ἱμάτιον.

¹⁹καὶ ἀγαπήσετε τὸν προσήλυτον· προσήλυτοι γὰρ ἦτε ἐν γῇ Αἰγύπτῳ.

²⁰Κύριον τὸν Θεόν σου φοβηθήσῃ καὶ αὐτῷ λατρεύσεις καὶ πρὸς αὐτὸν κολληθήσῃ καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ ὀμῇ·

²¹οὗτος καύχημά σου καὶ οὗτος Θεός σου, ὅστις ἐποίησεν ἐν σοὶ τὰ μεγάλα καὶ τὰ ἔνδοξα ταῦτα, ἃ εἴδοσαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου.

²²ἐν ἑβδομήκοντα ψυχαῖς κατέβησαν οἱ πατέρες σου εἰς Αἴγυπτον, νυνὶ δὲ ἐποίησέ σε Κύριος ὁ Θεός σου ὡσεὶ τὰ ἄστρα τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τῷ πλήθει.

¹At that time the Lord said to me, Hew for thyself two stone tables as the first, and come up to me into the mountain, and thou shalt make for thyself an ark of wood.

²And thou shalt write upon the tables the words which were on the first tables which thou didst break, and thou shalt put them into the ark.

³So I made an ark of boards of incorruptible wood, and I hewed tables of stone like the first, and I went up to the mountain, and the two tables were in my hand.

⁴And he wrote upon the tables according to the first writing the ten commandments, which the Lord spoke to you in the mountain out of the midst of the fire, and the Lord gave them to me.

⁵And I turned and came down from the mountain, and I put the tables into the ark which I had made; and there they were, as the Lord commanded me.

⁶And the children of Israel departed from Beeroth of the sons of Jakim [to] Misadai: there Aaron died, and there he was buried, and Eleazar his son was priest in his stead.

⁷Thence they departed to Gadgad; and from Gadgad to Etebatha, a land [wherein are] torrents of water.

⁸At that time the Lord separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand near before the Lord, to minister and bless in his name to this day.

⁹Therefore the Levites have no part nor inheritance among their brethren; the Lord himself [is] their inheritance, as he said to them.

¹⁰And I remained in the mount forty days and forty nights: and the Lord heard me at that time also, and the Lord would not destroy you.

¹¹And the Lord said to me, Go, set out before this people, and let them go in and inherit the land, which I sware to their fathers to give to them.

¹²And now, Israel, what does the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, and to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul;

¹³to keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and his ordinances, all that I charge thee to-day, that it may be well with thee?

¹⁴Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens belong to the Lord thy God, the earth and all things that are in it.

¹⁵Only the Lord chose your fathers to love them, and he chose out their seed after them, [even] you, beyond all nations, as at this day.

¹⁶Therefore ye shall circumcise the hardness of your heart, and ye shall not harden your neck.

¹⁷For the Lord your God, he [is] God of gods, and the Lord of lords, the great, and strong, and terrible God, who does not accept persons, nor will he by any means accept a bribe:

¹⁸executing judgment for the stranger and orphan and widow, and he loves the stranger to give him food and raiment.

¹⁹And ye shall love the stranger; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

²⁰Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt cleave to him, and shalt swear by his name.

²¹He [is] thy boast, and he [is] thy God, who has wrought in the midst of thee these great and glorious things, which thine eyes have seen.

²²With seventy souls your fathers went down into Egypt; but the Lord thy God has made thee as the stars of heaven in multitude.
