Hezekiel 38

¹Ve Rab'bin sözü bana gelip şöyle dedi:

²İnsanoğlu, yüzünü Gog'a ve Magog ülkesine, Rhos, Mosoh ve Thobel'in önderine çevir ve ona karşı peygamberlik edip

³de ki, Rab Rab şöyle diyor: Bak, sana karşıyım ey Rhos, Mosoh ve Thobel'in önderi Gog!

⁴Seni bir araya getireceğim; bütün ordunu, zırh kuşanmış atlarını ve atlılarını, küçük kalkanlı, miğferli ve kılıçlı büyük bir kalabalığı toplayacağım.

⁵Onlarla birlikte hepsi miğferli ve küçük kalkanlı Persler, Etiyopyalılar ve Libyalılar olacak;

⁶Gomer ve onun bütün çevresindekiler, kuzeyin en ucundan Thergama soyu ve onun bütün çevresindekiler ve seninle birlikte olan birçok ulus da orada yer alacak.

⁷Hazırlan, hem sen hem de çevrende toplanmış olan bütün topluluğun hazırlansın ve sen benim için bir muhafız olacaksın.

⁸Uzun günlerden sonra hazırlık yapılacak ve son yıllarda, kılıçtan kurtulmuş, birçok ulustan bir araya getirilmiş olan ve sürekli virane kalmış İsrail dağlarının üzerindeki ülkeye geleceksin; bu halk ulusların arasından çıkarılmıştır ve şimdi hepsi barış içinde yaşayacaklar.

⁹Bir sağanak yağmur gibi yükseleceksin, ülkeyi kaplayan bir bulut gibi geleceksin; sen, bütün çevrendekiler ve seninle birlikte olan birçok ulus.

¹⁰Rab Rab şöyle diyor: O gün yüreğine bazı sözler doğacak ve kötü düzenler tasarlayacaksın.

¹¹Ve diyeceksin ki: "Terk edilmiş, surları olmayan, sürgüleri ve kapıları bulunmayan, huzur içinde sakin ve barışla yaşayan insanların ülkesine saldıracağım.

¹²Yağma yapıp ganimet kapmak için; yeniden iskan edilmiş viranelere ve ulusların arasından toplanmış, mülkler edinmiş, yeryüzünün göbeğinde yaşayan bir halka karşı elimi uzatacağım."

¹³Saba, Dedan, Kartacalı tüccarlar ve onların bütün köyleri sana şöyle diyecek: "Yağmalamak için mi geliyorsun? Ganimet kapmak, gümüş ve altın taşımak, mülk götürmek ve büyük çapta yağma yapmak için mi topluluğunu bir araya getirdin?"

¹⁴Bu yüzden, insanoğlu, peygamberlik et ve Gog'a de ki, Rab şöyle diyor: O gün halkım İsrail barış içinde yaşarken harekete geçmeyecek misin?

¹⁵Kuzeyin en ucundan, kendi yerinden geleceksin; sen ve seninle birlikte olan birçok ulus, hepsi atlara binmiş büyük bir topluluk ve büyük bir güç.

¹⁶Ülkeyi kaplayan bir bulut gibi halkım İsrail'in üzerine yürüyeceksin; son günlerde olacak bu; ey Gog, ulusların önünde senin aracılığınla kutsallığımı gösterdiğimde beni tanımaları için seni ülkeme karşı getireceğim.

¹⁷Rab Rab Gog'a şöyle diyor: Geçmiş günlerde, o günlerde ve yıllarda, seni onların üzerine getireceğime dair kullarım İsrail peygamberlerinin eliyle hakkında konuştuğum kişi sen değil misin?

¹⁸Ve o gün, Gog İsrail ülkesine saldırdığı gün, diyor Rab Rab, öfkem yükselecek.

¹⁹Öfkemin ateşinde konuştum: Şüphesiz o gün İsrail toprağında büyük bir deprem olacak.

²⁰Denizdeki balıklar, gökteki kuşlar, ovanın yaban hayvanları, yerde sürünen bütün canlılar ve yeryüzündeki bütün insanlar Rab'bin huzurunda titreyecekler; dağlar yarılacak, uçurumlar çökecek ve her duvar yere yıkılacak.

²¹Ona karşı her türlü korkuyu çağıracağım, diyor Rab; herkesin kılıcı kardeşine karşı olacak.

²²Onu ölümle ve kanla yargılayacağım; onun, ordularının ve onunle birlikte olan birçok ulusun üzerine sel gibi taşan sağanak yağmur, dolu taşları, ateş ve kükürt yağdıracağım.

²³Böylece yüceltileceğim, kutsal kılınacağım, şereflendirileceğim ve birçok ulusun gözü önünde tanınacağım; o zaman benim Rab olduğumu anlayacaklar.

¹ΚΑΙ ἐγένετο λόγος Κυρίου πρός με λέγων·

²υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου, στήρισον τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἐπὶ Γὼγ καὶ τὴν γῆν τοῦ Μαγώγ, ἄρχοντα Ῥώς, Μοσὸχ καὶ Θοβέλ, καὶ προφήτευσον ἐπ’ αὐτὸν

³καὶ εἰπὸν αὐτῷ τάδε λέγει Κύριος Κύριος· ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐπὶ σὲ Γὼγ ἄρχοντα Ῥώς, Μοσὸχ καὶ Θοβὲλ

⁴καὶ συνάξω σε καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν δύναμίν σου, ἵππους καὶ ἱππεῖς ἐνδεδυμένους θώρακας πάντας, συναγωγῇ πολλῇ, πέλται καὶ περικεφαλαῖαι καὶ μάχαιραι,

⁵Πέρσαι καὶ Αἰθίοπες καὶ Λίβυες, πάντες περικεφαλαίαις καὶ πέλταις,

⁶Γομὲρ καὶ πάντες οἱ περὶ αὐτόν, οἶκος τοῦ Θεργαμὰ ἀπ’ ἐσχάτου βορρᾶ καὶ πάντες οἱ περὶ αὐτόν, καὶ ἔθνη πολλὰ μετὰ σοῦ·

⁷ἑτοιμάσθητι, ἑτοίμασον σεαυτὸν σύ, καὶ πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγή σου ἡ συνηγμένη μετὰ σοῦ καὶ ἔσῃ μοι εἰς προφυλακήν.

⁸ἀφ’ ἡμερῶν πλειόνων ἑτοιμασθήσεται καὶ ἐπ’ ἐσχάτου ἐτῶν ἐλεύσεται καὶ ἥξει εἰς τὴν γῆν τὴν ἀπεστραμμένην ἀπὸ μαχαίρας, συνηγμένων ἀπὸ ἐθνῶν πολλῶν, ἐπὶ γῆν ᾿Ισραήλ, ἣ ἐγενήθη ἔρημος δι’ ὅλου· καὶ οὗτος ἐξ ἐθνῶν ἐξελήλυθε καὶ κατοικήσουσιν ἐπ’ εἰρήνης ἅπαντες.

⁹καὶ ἀναβήσῃ ὡς ὑετὸς καὶ ἥξεις ὡς νεφέλη κατακαλύψαι γῆν καὶ ἔσῃ σὺ καὶ πάντες οἱ περὶ σὲ καὶ ἔθνη πολλὰ μετὰ σοῦ.

¹⁰τάδε λέγει Κύριος Κύριος· καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἀναβήσεται ῥήματα ἐπὶ τὴν καρδίαν σου, καὶ λογιῇ λογισμοὺς πονηροὺς

¹¹καὶ ἐρεῖς· ἀναβήσομαι ἐπὶ γῆν ἀπερριμμένην, ἥξω ἐπὶ ἡσυχάζοντας ἐν ἡσυχίᾳ καὶ οἰκοῦντας ἐπ’ εἰρήνης, πάντας κατοικοῦντας γῆν, ἐν ᾗ οὐχ ὑπάρχει τεῖχος οὐδὲ μοχλοί, καὶ θύραι οὐκ εἰσὶν αὐτοῖς.

¹²προνομεῦσαι προνομὴν καὶ σκῦλα σκυλεῦσαι αὐτῶν, τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι χεῖράς μου εἰς τὴν ἠρημωμένην, ἣ κατῳκίσθη, καὶ ἐπ’ ἔθνος συνηγμένον ἀπὸ ἐθνῶν πολλῶν, πεποιηκότας κτήσεις, κατοικοῦντας ἐπὶ τὸν ὀμφαλὸν τῆς γῆς.

¹³Σαββὰ καὶ Δαιδὰν καὶ ἔμποροι Καρχηδόνιοι καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν ἐροῦσί σοι· εἰς προνομὴν τοῦ προνομεῦσαι σὺ ἔρχῃ καὶ σκυλεῦσαι σκῦλα; συνήγαγες συναγωγήν σου λαβεῖν ἀργύριον καὶ χρυσίον, ἀπενέγκασθαι κτῆσιν τοῦ σκυλεῦσαι σκῦλα.

¹⁴διὰ τοῦτο προφήτευσον, υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου, καὶ εἰπὸν τῷ Γώγ· τάδε λέγει Κύριος· οὐκ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἐν τῷ κατοικισθῆναι τόν λαόν μου ᾿Ισραὴλ ἐπ’ εἰρήνης ἐγερθήσῃ;

¹⁵καὶ ἥξεις ἐκ τοῦ τόπου σου ἀπ’ ἐσχάτου βορρᾶ καὶ ἔθνη πολλὰ μετὰ σοῦ, ἀναβάται ἵππων πάντες, συναγωγὴ μεγάλη καὶ δύναμις πολλή,

¹⁶καὶ ἀναβήσῃ ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν μου ᾿Ισραὴλ ὡς νεφέλη καλύψαι γῆν· ἐπ’ ἐσχάτων τῶν ἡμερῶν ἔσται, καὶ ἀνάξω σε ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν μου, ἵνα γνῶσι πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ἐμὲ ἐν τῷ ἁγιασθῆναί με ἐν σοὶ ἐνώπιον αὐτῶν.

¹⁷τάδε λέγει Κύριος Κύριος τῷ Γώγ· σὺ εἶ περὶ οὗ ἐλάλησα πρὸ ἡμερῶν τῶν ἔμπροσθεν διά χειρὸς τῶν δούλων μου τῶν προφητῶν τοῦ ᾿Ισραήλ, ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις καὶ ἔτεσι, τοῦ ἀναγαγεῖν σε ἐπ’ αὐτούς.

¹⁸καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ, ἐν ἡμέρᾳ, ᾗ ἂν ἔλθῃ Γὼγ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν τοῦ ᾿Ισραήλ, λέγει Κύριος Κύριος, ἀναβήσεται ὁ θυμός μου

¹⁹καὶ ὁ ζῆλός μου. ἐν πυρὶ τῆς ὀργῆς μου ἐλάλησα, εἰ μὴν ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἔσται σεισμὸς μέγας ἐπὶ γῆς ᾿Ισραήλ.

²⁰καὶ σεισθήσονται ἀπὸ προσώπου Κυρίου οἱ ἰχθύες τῆς θαλάσσης καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ τὰ θηρία τοῦ πεδίου καὶ πάντα τὰ ἑρπετὰ τὰ ἕρποντα ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, καὶ πάντες οἱ ἄνθρωποι οἱ ἐπὶ προσώπου τῆς γῆς, καὶ ραγήσεται τά ὄρη καὶ πεσοῦνται αἱ φάραγγες, καὶ πᾶν τεῖχος ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν πεσεῖται.

²¹καὶ καλέσω ἐπ’ αὐτὸν πᾶν φόβον, λέγει Κύριος· μάχαιρα ἀνθρώπου ἐπὶ τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ ἔσται.

²²καὶ κρινῶ αὐτὸν θανάτῳ καὶ αἵματι καὶ ὑετῷ κατακλύζοντι καὶ λίθοις χαλάζης, καὶ πῦρ καὶ θεῖον βρέξω ἐπ’ αὐτὸν καὶ ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς μετ’ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπ’ ἔθνη πολλὰ μετ’ αὐτοῦ.

²³καὶ μεγαλυνθήσομαι καὶ ἁγιασθήσομαι καὶ ἐνδοξασθήσομαι καὶ γνωσθήσομαι ἐναντίον ἐθνῶν πολλῶν. καὶ γνώσονται ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι Κύριος.

¹And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

²Son of man, set thy face against Gog, and the land of Magog, Rhos, prince of Mesoch and Thobel, and prophesy against him,

³and say to him, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, Rhos prince of Mesoch and Thobel:

⁴and I will gather thee, and all thine host, horses and horsemen, all wearing breast-plates, with a great multitude, shields and helmets and swords:

⁵Persians, and Ethiopians, and Libyans; all with helmets and shields.

⁶Gomer, and all belonging to him; the house of Thorgama, from the end of the north, and all belonging to him; and many nations with thee.

⁷Be thou prepared, prepare thyself, thou, and all thy multitude that is assembled with thee, and thou shalt be to me for a guard.

⁸He shall be prepared after many days, and he shall come at the end of years, and shall come to a land that is brought back from the sword, when [the people] are gathered from many nations against the land of Israel, which was entirely desolate: and he is come forth out of the nations, and they shall all dwell securely.

⁹And thou shalt go up as rain, and shalt arrive as a cloud to cover the land, and there shall be thou, and all that are about thee, and many nations with thee.

¹⁰Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to pass in that day, that thoughts shall come up into thine heart, and thou shalt devise evil devices.

¹¹And thou shalt say, I will go up to the rejected land; I will come upon them that are at ease in tranquility, and dwelling in peace, all inhabiting a land in which there is no wall, nor bars, nor have they doors;

¹²to seize plunder, and to take their spoil; to turn my hands against the desolate land that is [now] inhabited, and against a nation that is gathered from many nations, that have acquired property, dwelling in the midst of the land.

¹³Sabba, and Daedan, and Carthaginian merchants, and all their villages shall say to thee, Thou art come for plunder to take a prey, and to get spoils: thou hast gathered thy multitude to take silver and gold, to carry off property, to take spoils.

¹⁴Therefore prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog, Thus saith the Lord; Wilt thou not arise in that day, when my people Israel are dwelling securely,

¹⁵and come out of thy place from the farthest north, and many nations with thee? all of them mounted on horses, a great gathering, and a large force?

¹⁶And thou shalt come up upon my people Israel as a cloud to cover the land; it shall come to pass in the last days, that I will bring thee up upon my land, that all the nations may know me, when I am sanctified in thee before them.

¹⁷Thus saith the Lord God, to Gog; Thou art [he] concerning whom I spoke in former times, by the hand of my servants the prophets of Israel, in those days and years, that I would bring thee up against them.

¹⁸And it shall come to pass in that day, in the day when Gog shall come against the Land of Israel, saith the Lord God,

¹⁹[that] my wrath and my jealousy shall arise, I have spoken in the fire of mine anger, verily in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

²⁰and the fish of the sea shall quake at the presence of the Lord, and the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the field, and all the reptiles that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are on the face of the earth; and the mountains shall be rent, and the valleys shall fall, and every wall on the land shall fall.

²¹And I will summon against it even every fear, saith the Lord: the sword of [every] man shall be against his brother.

²²And I will judge him with pestilence, and blood, and sweeping rain, and hailstones; and I will rain upon him fire and brimstone, and upon all that are with him, and upon many nations with him.

²³And I will be magnified, and sanctified, and glorified; and I will be known in the presence of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord.
