4Sonra Yehoşafat'a, "Gilead Ramot'ta savaşmak için bizimle birlikte yukarı gelir misin?" diye sordu.

15Kralın huzuruna çıktığında kral ona, "Mikaya, Gilead Ramot'a savaşmaya gidelim mi, yoksa durayım mı?" diye sordu. Mikaya, "Git, başarılı olacaksın; Rab onu kralın eline teslim edecek" dedi.

16Kral ona, "Rabbin adıyla bana gerçeğin dışında bir şey söylememen için sana kaç kez ant içirmeliyim?" dedi.

17Bunun üzerine Mikaya şöyle dedi: "Öyle değil! Bütün İsrail'i, çobansız koyunlar gibi dağlara dağılmış gördüm. Ve Rab, 'Bunların efendisi Tanrı değil mi? Her biri esenlikle evine dönsün' dedi."

18İsrail Kralı, Yehoşafat'a, "Sana onun benim hakkımda iyi değil, ancak kötü şeyler peygamberlik edeceğini söylememiş miydim?" dedi.

19Mikaya konuşmasına devam etti: "Öyle değil, ben değil, Rabbin sözünü dinle! Rabbi, tahtında otururken gördüm; bütün göksel ordular O'nun sağında ve solunda duruyordu.

20Rab, 'Gilead Ramot'a gidip ölsün diye İsrail Kralı Ahab'ı kim kandıracak?' diye sordu.

26İsrail Kralı, "Mikaya'yı yakalayın, onu şehrin kralı Şemer'e ve kralın oğlu Yoaş'a götürün" dedi.

27"Onlara deyin ki: 'Kral şöyle buyuruyor: Bu adamı zindana atın; ben esenlikle dönene kadar ona sıkıntı ekmeği ve sıkıntı suyu verin.'"

28Mikaya, "Eğer gerçekten esenlikle dönersen, Rab benim aracılığımla konuşmamıştır" dedi.

29Böylece İsrail Kralı ile Yahuda Kralı Yehoşafat birlikte Gilead Ramot'a gittiler.

30İsrail Kralı, Yehoşafat'a, "Ben kılık değiştirip savaşa gireceğim, ama sen benim kraliyet giysilerimi giy" dedi.

50O zaman Ahab oğlu Ahazya, Yehoşafat'a, "Benim adamlarım senin adamlarınla birlikte gemilerle gitsinler" dedi; ama Yehoşafat bunu kabul etmedi.

51Ve Yehoşafat ölüp atalarına kavuştu ve babası Davut'un kentinde atalarının yanına gömüldü. Yerine oğlu Yehoram kral oldu.

52Ahab oğlu Ahazya, Yahuda Kralı Yehoşafat'ın on yedinci yılında Samiriye'de İsrail Kralı oldu ve İsrail'de iki yıl krallık yaptı.

53Rabbin gözünde kötü olanı yaptı; babası Ahab'ın, annesi İzebel'in ve İsrail'i günaha sürükleyen Nebat oğlu Yarovam'ın yollarında yürüdü.

54Baallar'a kulluk edip onlara tapındı ve kendisinden önceki babasının yaptığı her şey gibi, İsrail'in Tanrısı Rabbi çok öfkelendirdi.

3καὶ εἶπε βασιλεὺς ᾿Ισραὴλ πρὸς τοὺς παῖδας αὐτοῦ· εἰ οἴδατε ὅτι ἡμῖν Ῥεμμὰθ Γαλαάδ, καὶ ἡμεῖς σιωπῶμεν λαβεῖν αὐτὴν ἐκ χειρὸς βασιλέως Συρίας;

4καὶ εἶπε βασιλεὺς ᾿Ισραὴλ πρὸς ᾿Ιωσαφάτ· ἀναβήσῃ μεθ᾿ ἡμῶν εἰς Ῥεμμὰθ Γαλαὰδ εἰς πόλεμον;

7καὶ εἶπεν ᾿Ιωσαφὰτ πρὸς βασιλέα ᾿Ισραήλ· οὐκ ἔστιν ὧδε προφήτης τοῦ Κυρίου καὶ ἐπερωτήσομεν τὸν Κύριον δι᾿ αὐτοῦ;

16καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ βασιλεύς· ποσάκις ἐγὼ ὁρκίζω σε ὅπως λαλήσῃς πρός με ἀλήθειαν ἐν ὀνόματι Κυρίου;

18καὶ εἶπε βασιλεὺς ᾿Ισραὴλ πρὸς ᾿Ιωσαφὰτ βασιλέα ᾿Ιούδα· οὐκ εἶπα πρός σε ὅτι οὐ προφητεύει οὗτός μοι καλά, διότι ἀλλ᾿ κακά;

24καὶ προσῆλθε Σεδεκίας υἱὸς Χανανὰ καὶ ἐπάταξε τὸν Μιχαίαν ἐπὶ τὴν σιαγόνα καὶ εἶπε· ποῖον πνεῦμα Κυρίου τὸ λαλῆσαν ἐν σοί;

39καὶ τὰ λοιπὰ τῶν λόγων ᾿Αχαὰβ καὶ πάντα, ἐποίησε, καὶ οἶκον ἐλεφάντινον, ὃν ᾠκοδόμησε, καὶ πάσας τὰς πόλεις, ἃς ἐποίησεν, οὐκ ἰδοὺ ταῦτα γέγραπται ἐν βιβλίῳ λόγων τῶν ἡμερῶν τῶν βασιλέων ᾿Ισραήλ;

1And he rested three years, and there was no war between Syria and Israel.

2And it came to pass in the third year, that Josaphat king of Juda went down to the king of Israel.

3And the king of Israel said to his servants, Know ye that Remmath Galaad [is] ours, and we are slow to take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?

4And the king of Israel said to Josaphat, Wilt thou go up with us to Remmath Galaad to battle?

5And Josaphat said, As I [am], so [art] thou also; as my people, [so is] thy people; as my horses, [so are] thy horses. And Josaphat king of Juda said to the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, of the Lord to-day.

6And the king of Israel gathered all the prophets together, about four hundred men; and the king said to them, Shall I go up to Remmath Galaad to battle, or shall I forbear? and they said, Go up, and the Lord will surely give [it] into the hands of the king.

7And Josaphat said to the king of Israel, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord, that we may enquire of the Lord by him?

8And the king of Israel said to Josaphat, There is one man here [for us] to enquire of the Lord by; but I hate him, for he does not speak good of me, but only evil; Michaias son of Jemblaa. And Josaphat king of Juda said, Let not the king say so.

9And the king of Israel called a eunuch and said, [Bring hither] quickly Michaias son of Jemblaa.

10And the king of Israel and Josaphat king of Juda sat, each on his throne, armed in the gates of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.

11And Sedekias son of Chanaan made for himself iron horns, and said, Thus saith the Lord, With these thou shalt push Syria, until it be consumed.

12And all the prophets prophesied in like manner, saying, Go up to Remmath Galaad, and [the thing] shall prosper, and the Lord shall deliver it and the king of Syria into thine hands.

13And the messenger that went to call Michaias spoke to him, saying, Behold now, all the prophets speak with one mouth good concerning the king, let now thy words be like the words of one of them, and speak good things.

14And Michaias said, [As] the Lord lives, whatsoever the Lord shall say to me, that will I speak.

15And he came to the king: and the king said to him, Michaias, shall I go up to Remmath Galaad to battle, or shall I forbear? and he said, Go up, and the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

16And the king said to him, How often shall I adjure thee, that thou speak to me truth in the name of the Lord?

17And he said, Not so. I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains as a flock without a shepherd: and the Lord said, [Is] not God lord of these? let each one return to his home in peace.

18And the king of Israel said to Josaphat king of Juda, Did I not say to thee that this man does not prophesy good to me, for [he speaks] nothing but evil?

19And Michaias said, Not so, [it is] not I: hear the word of the Lord; [it is] not so. I saw the God of Israel sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven stood about him on his right hand and on his left.

20And the Lord said, Who will deceive Achaab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall in Remmath Galaad? and one spoke one way, and another another way.

21And there came forth a spirit and stood before the Lord, and said, I will deceive him.

22And the Lord said to him, Whereby? And he said, I will go forth, and will be a false spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt deceive him, yea, and shalt prevail: go forth, and do so.

23And now, behold, the Lord has put a false spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord has spoken evil against thee.

24And Sedekias the son of Chanaan came near and smote Michaias on the cheek, and said, What sort of a spirit of the Lord [has] spoken in thee?

25And Michaias said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an innermost chamber to hide thyself there.

26And the king of Israel said, Take Michaias, and convey him away to Semer the keeper of the city;

27and tell Joas the king’s son to put this [fellow] in prison, and to feed him with bread of affliction and water of affliction until I return in peace.

28And Michaias said, If thou return at all in peace, the Lord has not spoken by me.

29So the king of Israel went up, and Josaphat king of Juda with him to Remmath Galaad.

30And the king of Israel said to Josaphat king of Juda, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle, and do thou put on my raiment. So the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.

31And the king of Syria had charged the thirty-two captains of his chariots, saying, Fight not [against] small or great, but against the king of Israel only.

32And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Josaphat king of Juda, that they said, this seems [to be] the king of Israel. And they compassed him about to fight [against] him; and Josaphat cried out.

33And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw that this was not the king of Israel, that they returned from him.

34And one drew a bow with a good aim, and smote the king of Israel between the lungs and the breast-plate: and he said to his charioteer, Turn thine hands, and carry me away out of the battle, for I am wounded.

Açıklamalar

  1. Ayet 30

    Septuaginta metninde Ahab'ın Yehoşafat'a "benim giysilerimi giy" demesi, Masoretik metindeki "kendi kraliyet giysilerini giy" ifadesiyle teolojik ve taktiksel olarak çelişir; Grekçe versiyon Ahab'ın Yehoşafat'ı doğrudan hedef tahtası haline getirme niyetini daha keskin vurgular.

  2. Ayet 0

    34. Ayetteki "eystohos" kelimesi Grek askeri terminolojisinde "hedefi tam on ikiden vuran" anlamında kullanılırken, İbranice Masoretik metindeki "l'tummow" (rastgele, bilmeden) ifadesiyle tam bir tezat oluşturur ve Grek kültüründeki kader/isabet vurgusunu öne çıkarır.

  3. Ayet 0

    38. Ayetteki fahişelerin kanda yıkanması ritüeli, antik Yakın Doğu ve Helenistik dönemdeki kült fahişeliği ve ritüel temizlik/lanet pratikleriyle doğrudan ilişkilidir.

  4. Ayet 0

    47. Ayette geçen "endiellagmenoy" terimi, İbranice kutsal fuhuş yapan "qadesh" kelimesinin Grek dünyasındaki karşılığı olup, pagan tapınaklarındaki ritüel fahişeliğe atıfta bulunur.
